This consists of the more minor works set between the main forts, the ouvrages and abris. Ouvrages were smaller forts designed to hold around a company of infantry, some were later upgraded to include some artillery. Abris were concrete shelters, again of around company size, designed to shelter troops manning the many batteries originally outside of the forts, as well as various concrete infantry positions known as retranchements de infanterie. For this reason I have put a retranchement de infanterie adjacent to each abris.
As with the forts some compromise has been made between ground scale (1" = 80 yards) and figure scale (6mm) so they are not an exact representation.
